A Guide to Shopping at Food Lion

The first thing to keep in mind while shopping at Food Lion is that prices vary from store to store, especially from state to state. I post the coupon match up list on Wednesday evenings or Thursday mornings.

To get the sale prices and double coupons, you must sign up for a Food Lion card. You can do that online or in any store.

Does Food Lion accept coupons?

Yes! They accept manufacturer’s coupons only as they are written. They will also accept internet printable manufacturer coupons as long as they scan. Most Food Lion stores do not double any coupons, but check with your store before shopping Food Lion puts out weekly Food Lion Internet Printables (FLIP’s), but they are accepted only as they are written and they can be combined with manufacturer coupons, unless either coupon excludes it.  I have had extreme difficulty at my stores stacking these coupons, so I wanted to let you know.

Food Lion will not accept the following coupons:

• single sided internet coupons offering a free product
• competitor’s coupons
• a coupon that is a higher value than the value of the product
• coupons that appear to be computer generated, copied or reproduced
