I was contacted by Zaycon Foods to do a review of their 40 pound bulk chicken box. They delivered 40 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breast right to my doorstep. You can watch the video for what I did with the chicken and what I thought of Zaycon Foods.
Right now, they are primarily focused on the western U.S., but they are expanding to the south very soon! I am looking forward to hearing about another event near me. In all honesty, I would order this box of chicken again for sure. It is perfect for two small families to share or for one large family. Make sure you have plenty of room in your freezer!
If you are interested in learning more about buying in bulk from Zaycon Foods, you can register here and see if there is a bulk event happening in your area!
P.S. Watch out soon for a giveaway on Coupon Teacher with Zaycon Foods!

I have been unpacking. I realize now that I still have several items that I have too many of in my stockpile.
I could build a castle out of…
Band Aids and Antibiotic Cream
Cleaning Products
Cream Soups
Bills, Appliance Booklets, and Paperwork (not in my stockpile, but just saying…)
Pop, AKA Soda
My stockpile is actually at the lowest point that it has been in a while. I am working hard to use items and donate, because I realized that I just plain had too much for 2 people.
Moving all those items is hard work! Finding a new home for them is equally as hard.
What could you build a castle (even a small one) out of?

If you aren’t a long time reader and wonder what in the world I am talking about…check this out.
I could write a whole post about how relieved I am to have a smaller stockpile. In fact, I might. A weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
For now, you might wonder where it all went?
Four bags went to mom’s house for her and her church pantry.
Diapers were donated.
One bag went to a good friend.
Pet food went to the donation bin.
We have been eating from the stockpile since January.
A few candles, air fresheners and cleaners went in the yard sale.
Several items had to be thrown out. Yes, I missed some in January.
The rest is stuffed into my pantry. Yes, it all fits. Almost.
If you are nice, I just may take a picture of the pantry for you tomorrow. Since some of you know how much energy this took, could you please send some my way?

I need to quit buying freebies at the drug store, just because they are free. If we don’t use them and they are hard to donate, they just take up space.
I know that I listened to the radio a lot while I was working on my stockpile, because music helps the task become more enjoyable. So here is the giveaway portion…

If you have been following along this month, I have eaten from my stockpile, tamed my freezer, and organized my stockpile. It has been a very refreshing month. I haven’t felt the need to chase every deal, and I am not afraid to be crushed alive looking for a snack! Like I said, “Refreshing!”
Filling in the Gaps
So, now that I have allowed my stockpile to dwindle a little bit (it isn’t gone by far…), I am able to tell what I am lacking…
I have tons of salsa and no tortilla chips.
I am out, I repeat, out of macaroni and cheese, which is hubby’s favorite side dish.
I don’t have any fresh veggies right now, but I have tons of frozen and canned ones.
I actually need chicken. If I had known how badly before I defrosted my freezer, I would have bought more when it was on sale cheap at Harris Teeter.
I have a list of “do not buy for a while” items too like salsa, toothpaste, soup, and cereal. I wouldn’t have either list if I had not spent this month Taming my Stockpile.
What now?
I take the list of items I need and actively hunt for rock bottom prices on the items. What do I consider to be rock bottom? Free or more than 75% off after coupon is a rock bottom deal for me, depending on the item. Then again, I probably won’t save 75% on my tortilla chips. But I will probably buy them anyway!
I need to try my best to actually put the items away where the belong, so I avoid the situation in my video any time soon.
I get to give out my donation bags, yay! I also get to take the money we’ve saved on groceries this month and apply it to our debt!
Come back next Friday for a wrap-up, fun giveaway, and linky!
So how do you fill in the gaps in your stockpile?

Ok! We are down to the nitty gritty of Taming the Stockpile now. I have been eating from the stockpile, and I even defrosted my freezer last weekend! Today, I want to talk about organizing your stockpile. (Insert hubby’s laughter here.) Remember, I am working on things right along with you. I am not perfect, and most of the time, I am not organized!
I contacted the company for a review and giveaway, but I didn’t hear back. I really wanted one and wanted one of you to have one too. This can device makes it easy to see and rotate your stock. Something I often have trouble with! If you can afford it, this would be an excellent addition to organize your stockpile!
My second tip is utilize what space you have! I try to use every space available to store and organize my stockpile. What you see below is my pantry door and an over-the-door hanger.
Next, I am going to recommend something I don’t do very well. I am planning to implement this. Like now. When you come into the house with items for the stockpile, you should put them away right away. Move the old stock forward on your shelf or in your cabinet, and put the new stock behind it. Immediately. I have to admit as I am telling you this, I have 3 bags of groceries from my shopping trip this week sitting in front of my stockpile shelf. We all have room to improve right?
I decided to share the before and after with you via vlog. Remember, this is my second You Tube video ever, and the first one I had to edit together, so please be kind! If you can’t see it in this post, you can go directly to You Tube to view it.
Finally, while you are organizing, take either a mental or written inventory. I made a simple written stockpile inventory for you. If you can do this once a month, it will make a big difference in keeping your stockpile organized and full!
What is your stockpile organization nemesis?
