Success At the Stores

Anna and her husband headed out for Harris Teeter Doubles!  From Anna:

We just finished  Harris Teeter trips, and we normally pay about 25-35% of full price, but this was a better trip! We might not be amateurs anymore!

Here are our combined totals:
243.53 total before coupons/VIC card
175.98 after VIC, before coupons
32.76 after coupons

How did you do at Harris Teeter! We would love to hear from you!

For the first time since my Harris Teeter closed, I had fun shopping today.

And I had a LOT of fun!

I spent around $28, and saved over $57!!

I was able to get hot dogs, buns, and  a few salad items for our VBS this weekend included in that total.  I already have some salad items on hand, so it is perfect.  I was thinking that I would have to go to Sam’s Club to get some things in bulk, but I saved the trip and think I still saved good money.

The main item that isn’t included in the full BI-LO matchups was the K.C. Masterpiece.

K.C. Masterpiece Sauce BOGO
$.75/1  KC Masterpiece Barbecue Sauce or Marinade, exp. 8/26/12 (SS 06/24/12 R)
Free after coupon

That will go with me to my mama’s house in WV soon, along with one of the Hellmann’s Mayos. (We use the Sweet Baby Ray’s, because hubby likes it and it is gluten-free.)

Keep in mind that my store doubles coupons up to $.99 at this time, so that saves me a ton.

Oh, and BI-LO accepts competitor coupons, so I was able to use a $3.00 off a grocery order Target coupon I had!

I am going to *try* to do full matchups for BI-LO at least for the summer.  I am only 10-15 minutes from the store, so this may be one of my new grocery stores.  Want to learn more about saving at the grocery store?  Check out my Savings Nation classes!

What do you think of BI-LO?

You may not be as excited about this scenario as me, but since it included all things they we needed, I was really excited.  Last year, I couldn’t find cheap sunscreen when it was time for vacation, so this year I vowed to look for a deal early!

In this scenario, the Bayer, Coppertone, and U by Kotex are all monthly deals that expire on 6/30.

This scenario is perfect for those of you able to score the Bayer Deal this week, because you can start with those $10 in RR.  I didn’t score that deal, so I had a little more out of pocket.

Coppertone Products $9.79, Get $10 RR wyb 2
$5/2 Coppertone Suncare Product, exp. 7/31/12 (SS 06/24/12)
$1/1 Coppertone Sport, exp. 8/10/12 (Walgreens Skin Care Guide) (can be stacked)
Buy 2 Coppertone Sport and pay $12.58 Minus any RR you have!

I didn’t get the Sport sunscreen, because I wanted the 25% more bottles.  I also had a $2 RR, so I paid $13.45 for the 2 Sunscreens and the Nice Gelatin ($.49 filler).

Then I used my $10 RR to buy the 3 U by Kotex and the Degree deodorant ($1 filler, but hubby uses this kind).

U by Kotex 3/$12, Get a free movie ticket voucher wyb 3
$1/1 U By Kotex Pads, exp. 6/30/12 (SS 05/20/12)
$1/1 U By Kotex Liners, exp. 6/30/12 (SS 05/20/12)
$1/1 U By Kotex Tampons, exp. 6/30/12 (SS 05/20/12)
$3.00 each after coupons

So, I paid $.91 (tax) and received a movie ticket voucher!

I don’t know about what movies cost in your town, but they are $9.50 for a evening movie here.

We will use the voucher on date night for sure!

I spent $14.36 for what is pictured above and a movie ticket voucher!  Call me crazy, but in our house where we use all the items that is a deal!

If you go shop, don’t forget to check out the weekly Walgreens Deals.

In the Charlotte, NC area?  Come check out my Savings Nation class on Monday, June 18th!

When I went to teach in Greenville yesterday, we stopped in Gaffney at the outlet mall.

They had a Bath & Body Works outlet store.  I was able to stock up on 7 hand soaps and one body wash for less than $12, because of their semi-annual sale.

I try to buy enough hand soap during the sale to last us until the next sale each year, because I love their foaming hand soap!

Want to get some of these great prices?  Remember, the sale is going on online too!  Check out this post for a coupon code that expires today too!

I may or may not have spent too much time in the Clarks Outlet while we were there.  And I may or may not have bought an adorable pair of peekaboo flats.  ;)

Our farmer’s market opens this week, so I can’t wait to start shopping there next weekend!

But for this week, I snagged some essentials at Aldi.  {Ok, so cashews aren’t essential, but I have been really wanting them!}

I also picked up a bag of grapefruit not pictured.  I spent $17.12 and have all the makings for a veggie tray and baked beans for our cookout tomorrow!  :)
