One Hour Summer Clean Up: Kitchen Cabinet Update

July 16, 2012

Remember that messy cabinet?  I think I can safely open it now!

My spices were such a mess, I had to take half out before I could snap a picture.

I combined several bottles.  Somehow I had 3 open bottles of vanilla.  Yes, 3!

Now, we can get to everything and reach it all.  Still crammed, but at least most of it is single stacked!

And I can find my pans again!

I won’t tell you about the rotten potato and growing onions I found in my one food cabinet…

Organizing all the cabinets took me 55 minutes total.  (Keep in mind I moved last year, so not much to purge.)

How did you do?  (If you haven’t tried it yet, start after supper.  You will feel so much better.)

Come back tomorrow for our next challenge:  the fridge!

I ordered this spice rack on Amazon last month and it has made a HUGE difference in our cabinets. We have a spice cabinet identical to yours and I swear, I wish I had bought it sooner. Now we can see everything so clearly. You should check it out! If you didn’t want to order one though, you could trim down the bottoms of cereal boxes, flip them over, and BOOM -same effect. Hope that helps!

Thanks! Hubby says I should definitely check this out. (He is the king of spices when he grills and can’t find what he wants.)
