In WV: Storm Damage Clean-up

July 3, 2012

My adorable nephew helping clean up branches and sticks!

My mama’s yard was a mess when I got  to WV on Sunday.  Thankfully all her trees survived the storm.  She has a humongous oak tree right near the house, and they were scared during the storm.  My family was very lucky to weather the storm well.  My thoughts and prayers are with the families around the country without power, without homes, or without food.

I enlisted my nephews to help build a “log cabin” yesterday.  We cleaned up a huge pile of limbs, sticks, and branches in the yard.

How is that for Frugal Summer Fun?   :)

I feel for the families with all the damage. Those especially with out power during the sweltering heat. Glad that your family was safe during the storm and didn’t have much damage.
