My Harris Teeter “Cook Out” Trip

April 29, 2012

We held our first cook-out of the season.  I love to entertain family and friends.

Ok, this Harris Teeter trip is proof of 2 things:

1. My stockpile is really, really low on summer type sales items.  Bring on the condiment sales please!

2. You can save over 50% with very few coupons and only a little planning.  I used 3 coupons on this order.  One catalina coupon for the Otria dip (I love it!), $1/1 Smithfield bacon, and $10 off $50 purchase from Recyclebank.

I spent $42 and saved over $50.  The only thing that really hurt?  The paper plates and bowls.  I didn’t realize I was out, so you can be sure I will be searching for the next sale on those!

Of course, the blueberries, bacon, milk, and cheese weren’t for the cook-out either!  :)

What summer sales are you looking forward to?

Nice work! How did the $10 off $50 work for you? I have the recycle bank points, but for better or worse I almost never spend $50 POST-coupons at Harris Teeter (I tend to make small trips throughout the week). So, did they take the $10 off after coups (i.e after coups it would have been $52?)? Have you used it pre-coups before? TIA!

I have 3 kids in my house, so ketchup goes so fast. I’m ready for some Summer sales too.
