You all know I went on a shopping hiatus during my move. During that time, I stacked up several gift cards!
$50 to Home Depot (housewarming gift)
$10 to Lowes Foods (teacher gift)
$5 to Kohl’s ($5 coupon from having my Kohl’s card)
$20 in Kohl’s Cash
$5 to Target (Found when I cleaned out my purse from who knows when.)
$5 to Barnes and Noble (teacher gift)
I love to use my gift cards for needed items! I try to make the most of them with sales and coupons, but if I can buy a needed item for free, woohoo!
I made a huge trip today…
CVS
I didn’t have a gift card here, but I had $5 in ECB, a $1.00 coupon, and a free coupon for the candy bar.
Spent: $0.46
Target
I was able to pick up several items I needed, and one I wanted. The Olay was $1.45 after stacked coupon and I was out! The A1 was $1.19 after stacked coupon too.
The book? Yes, I should have resisted. But I am taking that book on vacation. When I return, one of you might just have the chance to win it, as long as it returns safely. (Oh and it was 30% and I had a $2 coupon too.)
Spent: Around $22 after the gift card (The book’s cover price is more than that!)
Barnes and Noble
Spent $1.03 after gift card (Remember, I like to take my own books on vacation, so I don’t ruin library books.
Home Depot
Being able to paint a room without Oops paint for $5.46? (Almost priceless!)

Here is where I spent the majority of my money. But a bathing suit, a nice shirt, and a beach towel for $25? Pretty good!

Hey, make sure your sunscreen says “broad spectrum”. Also, I’ve noticed that the Wags brand is just as good (if you can’t find a good coupon deal). Another thing, according to my dermatologist, the Neutrogena “with helioplex” is the best.

Well done! I think Janet Evanovich books are the absolute perfect vacation reads, so I never feel guilty about buying them. And since my husband and college-age son, and now my son’s girlfriend, all love her books as well I always know we’ll get our money’s worth :)
