Cansolidator Review and Giveaway

May 15, 2011

With a new house, I received a fun new organizer in the mail last week. A very sweet woman named Jamie sent me this shelving system to try out. I think you all will like it…

It is called a Cansolidator, and it is great for pantry shelves!  (My new pantry shelves are really skinny, so I placed mine on the floor.)  It was easy for me hubby to assemble, and I love that you can adjust the size of the can widths.  I put soup and veggies in mine, so I remember can use the oldest cans first.  A lot of cans fit in a much smaller space! (Maybe I won’t have cans falling on my toes anymore…)

Jamie blogs at Thriving Food Storage, where you can find out more about the food storage systems her company offers.  She also has a Facebook page, where you can learn more about food storage options.  You can get a Cansolidator Pantry from Jamie ONLY $21.49 plus shipping, instead of the retail price of $44.99.  She has many other products as well.  If you have a serious stockpile, you might like the larger versions.

I think this one would be perfect for a large family with a garage.  I don’t need quite that amount of shelving, but some of you may.

Win It!

Jamie has ordered one other Cansolidator for one lucky Coupon Teacher reader.

Hardest organizational dilemma for me is keeping track of expiration dates and using stock before it expires. I think I am going to try a simple spreadsheet.

My biggest organizational challenge is remembering what we have. My house is not that big so I have to be creative when storing stuff. Also sometimes smaller packages or can get behind the larger ones and then I end up with too many or they expire by the time I find them.

My biggest organization problem is my daughter’s school paper work – the day to day worksheets that she is not ready to part with and that are PILED up everywhere!

The biggest delima I have is that I have very limited space/a small kitchen. I cannot keep up with what canned goods I have b/c I have to pull everything out to see what I have. Actually, I have like 3 different places that I put goods. Never fails, I think I’m out of something, go buy it and then…hmmm amazingly find what I needed!

My biggest organizational dilemma is keeping my cabinets/closets organized. I actually have a lot of storage space, but keeping it all nice and neat is difficult!

My biggest problem is storage space. Even if I have plenty of room for things, my storage space is fairly deep so I still can’t see the stuff in back and tend to forget it is there.

My biggest dilemma is my closets. We have 2 tiny closets in our room and our daughter’s room. Neither has a door and are barely big enough to fit a tiny wardrobe, let alone a large one for my daughter or 2 adults! My son’s room has a door on the closet, but is still small. So figuring out where to put all the clothes is a challenge!
