Yes. It is empty.
If you aren’t a long time reader and wonder what in the world I am talking about…check this out.
I could write a whole post about how relieved I am to have a smaller stockpile. In fact, I might. A weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
For now, you might wonder where it all went?
- Four bags went to mom’s house for her and her church pantry.
- Diapers were donated.
- One bag went to a good friend.
- Pet food went to the donation bin.
- We have been eating from the stockpile since January.
- A few candles, air fresheners and cleaners went in the yard sale.
- Several items had to be thrown out. Yes, I missed some in January.
- The rest is stuffed into my pantry. Yes, it all fits. Almost.
If you are nice, I just may take a picture of the pantry for you tomorrow. Since some of you know how much energy this took, could you please send some my way? ;)

Wow! Wow! Wow! I can’t imagine the energy that took. Glad to hear that you were able to share some of the stockpile with people who needed it.
Thanks Jen. Now the real hard part is moving what is left! ;)
Wow, what was the motivation? Good job cleaning it out — I’m sure it took some serious effort!
We are moving in less than 2 weeks. My in laws are buying our house, and they will be here in 4, I mean 3, gulp, days.
Good for you! Will make moving easier and think of all the people who are benefiting from your couponing! Good luck with the move — hope it goes well!
Good way to think of it. I had to save some to give to my new mail man for Stamp Out Hunger day right?
That’s great for you! I was starting to clean out a lot of my stock pile (esp. of pre packaged foods we don’t eat any longer), but I am a tutor for the school district, so I will have no pay in a month and it just hit me today–I’m scared. What I make isn’t great, but I’ve had some unemployment still too…so now with neither til the fall (when the school work will start again), I’m terrified…I think I’ll keep the bad for us foods for now
Perhaps you could pick up some freelance tutoring students during the summer. My school always has requests!
I would still have an overfull stockpile, if I hadn’t been moving, so don’t feel too bad!
