Where is Coupon Teacher?

January 24, 2011

Some of you who know that I am around a lot, may be wondering where is Shelly?

My husband wasn’t feeling well all day Saturday, and woke me up at 5:00 a.m. yesterday to go to the emergency room.  He had to have his appendix removed yesterday afternoon.  He did surprisingly well, and they let me take him home yesterday at about 11:00 p.m.  I took off school today, and possibly tomorrow to help him recover and be a nurse.

I had some posts scheduled for yesterday, but none for today yet.  Taking care of hubby is my first priority today.  (My second is taking a shower, because I haven’t had one in over 48 hours.)  What I am saying is, it might be kind of quiet around here for a few days.  I know that I will be able to post the Target deals later today, because Kelly at Kansas City Mamas will send me those.  Other than that, I can’t promise anything.  If hubby is doing well and napping, I will send you some deals, otherwise, I am sorry.

Thanks for your patience, understanding, and prayers!!

Shelly

Don’t you worry about anything else but him. He is absolutely your first priority. And too if he’s like any man when he’s sick, it will be impossible to do anything else! Just kidding!! It seems it takes more to take care of a sick husband than a child sometimes. And even if he’s napping…you probably should be too.

lol, it’s true that men are more sick even if it is the same illness that has you both down. So true!! But seriously, take care of Hubby and enjoy some down time. We will all be here when you get back. :)

No worries, Shelly. Deal-seeking is definitely secondary in this situation. The hubby is priority #1!! :-)

I am glad to hear that your husband is doing better and that his surgery went well. I love the fact that you KNOW that he is your first priority. Please continue to take care of your family for as long as you need to do so. I pray that his recovery period will continue to go well, and that you will also be able to get a rest in between being Super Shelly. Those who follow your blog will be patiently awaiting your return.

Will be praying for his healing and for GOD to give you strength as you take care of him.
You do not need to even try to take care of anything for us. Your hubby is the only one that matters.
Let me know if I can do anything to help.

NO NO NO!!! Your family should ALWAYS come first. Don’t ever worry about your “bloggers.” You do an amazing job and I appreciate all you do and the information you share!

Amazing that they can remove it and he goes home so quickly…technology is wonderful. Take good care of him and yourself. Everything else is just going to wait and you should not be worrying about them. That includes school because, as a teacher, I know how we think the world will end if we are not there and our kids would have a sub.
Take a shower, take a nap and be thankful he is okay.
