Tip#3 Keep a Price Book or List
I do this in my head, but I realize not everyone can. If you were one of my early followers, you know that I started out couponing doing The Grocery Game. It is service that provides you with coupon match ups and has a great system for knowing when groceries are at their rock bottom price. Because of my experience with this service for about a year (it does have a monthly fee), I know a lot more about the lowest prices that I will find.
I recommend keeping a small notebook in your purse or coupon organizer with a list of the items that you usually buy and what the lowest price is. This way you know if an item is a great price to buy extras for your stockpile.
Tip#4 Shop Alone and With a List
Usually when you shop with others, you are more easily distracted. Other people often don’t understand how you shop or why you shop why you do. Husbands and kids often have wants that they add to your cart, sometimes without you even knowing. Buying things that aren’t on your list sabotages what you are trying to do. If you are alone, you can stick to your list, finish quickly, and be back home sooner!
