I do my best to coupon honestly, and I would say most people out there do too. Some of us make mistakes that we aren’t aware of, so it is good to do a little homework on the rules and laws of couponing. I am going to start with two negatives, but I promise there will be some positives in the future!
1. Don’t redeem a coupon for anything except exactly what the coupon states.
This includes size, brand, and the amount of items. I realize that many coupons will scan for items other than what is pictured or stated, but this does not make it OK to do! This has become a problem in my area. Many shoppers are trying to “decode” the coupons and use them for whatever they will scan for. This makes coupon shopping hard for the many shoppers who are trying to be honest and are informed about the rules.
