Bargain Meal of the Week for Harris Teeter

September 11, 2009

You know me, I have expensive taste on a very frugal budget.  So I am excited to share another one of my mother in law’s wonderful recipes with you.  I am so glad she doesn’t mind!

These steaks are delicious!

1 t-bone or porterhouse steak per person ($3.99 /lb)  or if you want to stretch your dollar even more cut two large steaks into “tips” or cubes

1/2 cup of salad oil
1/3 cup of soy sauce
1/4 cup lemon juice
2T worcestershire sauce
2T dijon/prepared mustard
salt
pepper
1/2 clove minced garlic

Mix all the ingredients in a ziploc bag.  Add steaks or tips.  Refrigerate 24 to 36 hours.  Grill to taste (I like medium well).

This is hands down the best steak I have ever eaten!!! Well worth the preparation!

Serve with some of the great canned veggies on sale for .33!

For more bargain meals this week, hop on over to $5 dinners!
